Power Tiny Lends Atmosphere To Toyota's "Remote Control" Spot Voted Fans' Favorite
March 10, 2008
When Toyota shot its hilarious “Remote Control” NASCAR spot in Charlotte, North Carolina Look Solutions’ Power Tiny was on hand to smoke up veteran driver Michael Waltrip’s Camry.
“A lot of people couldn’t believe how small and quiet the Power Tiny was and how much smoke it produced for its size,” says Barry Davis of Spotlight Express & Special Effects who positioned the device so smoke could come in through the Camry’s window. “We also used Look Solutions’ Viper to fog up the inside of the car. Michael was real happy with it.”
The palm-sized, battery-operated Power Tiny can easily be built into backdrops, props and costumes and triggered with small remote. A programmable microprocessor controls fog emission, delivering outstanding performance in a small package.
“Remote Control,” part of the Toyota Department of Fan Operations campaign that puts fans closer to the racing action, was created by Saatchi & Saatchi/LA. In the spot kids in the stands use large remote controls to wreak havoc at the track propelling Camrys in all directions. The newest drivers from Joe Gibbs Racing were featured as well as crew chief Greg Zipadelli and veteran driver Waltrip. The spot was named the favorite of fans voting on NASCAR.com during the third annual Daytona 500 Ad Showcase during the FOX broadcast of the celebrated race.
“I blow people away every time I use Power Tiny,” Davis reports. “I love everything about Look’s products — even the cases are great!”

Unique Review
For the last two years I've used many of the leading brands of haze and smoke products. When it came time to purchase something for my own business, I wanted to know if there might be a better product on the market to suit my needs.
Introductory Guide
Fog and haze differ in that fog is a thick, opaque effect that lasts a short time, while haze is a thin, translucent effect that lasts a long time. Fog is used as a special effect, whereas haze is used for lighting or atmosphere enhancement.
